Seomoz counting adwords traffic as well as organic?
well it shouldn't be tracking your adwords traffic -- only your organic traffic do you have automatic tagging enabled on your adwords account?

Too many links from one site?
Irving but what if it was the New York Times and it was in articles. Would you still argue that it is a bad link- Would you actually disavow all those links from New York Times (Hypothetically speaking)

How To Change Wordpress Category Title
The easiest way is to do it is from WordPress itself, as in the CMS settings, changing the code itself can get tricky and problematic especially when you come to update. You can change the default meta title from the Yoast SEO plug-in > search appearance > Taxonomies tab see here https://www.print4hospitality.co.uk/edit-category-titles/ or you can of course edit individual pages, which of course is not very practical for a site-wide change.

Most significant link building factor
Am I right in thinking the most important link building factor is the number of unique linking root domains? One link from the Pope's site will be worth 10,000 links from spam blogs. Multiple links from a domain won't help me so much? Again, it depends upon the domain. But, if you have multiple links from a very high quality site it will benefit you more than one link from that site. And, if those links hit multiple pages on your site then each of those pages will get measurable benefit... and that benefit, I believe, will flow through your entire site.

Should I remove 404 urls in webmaster tools?
I've always used GWT as a report on my 404, and since it stops on 1000 404s I always download them for further reference and then mark them as fixed. 404s are a natural response in the whole internet so fixing them is a good thing but waiting for google to remove them from your GWT account amy take long time. If they don0t bother you follow streamline's advice.

On Site Problem Caused Rankings To Drop?
Drop for all keywords and pages which have pretty much disappeared. Previously they were in the top 30 or so. I added a lot of categories for local counties but deleted them as they were just pulling content from posts and I thought I could run into duplicate content issues that way. They were only live for a few days. I submitted a reconsideration request and got an email back saying no manual penalty had been applied. I think it's a duplicate content issue. If you look at my categories I think they're too similar. No duplicate content warnings in webmaster tools though.

Rankings dropped off a cliff. Webmaster tools message: No manual spam actions found. Now what?
Thanks for your reply. I've done quite a lot of link building since the last OSE update so maybe when the next OSE update happens I'll get a better overview of my link profile and see where there could be problems. The only real strategy I've used though is guest blog posts on quality sites. I always run them through OSE to make sure they're authorative and have a good link profile. I've been careful to vary anchor text too. The keywords I'm after aren't particularly difficult to rank for ( according to the keyword research tool on here they're in the 30% - 50% range) so I thought the amount of work I'd done and the ranking positions were about right. I think I'll just keep building links I guess and try to keep building the site. I guess that's all I can do.

Can a home page penalty cause a drop in rankings for all pages?
yes homepage penalty means site is penalized across the board

White Hat but unexplained loss of rankings.
Thanks for your reply. It's not even ranking for adult terms including keywords in the title tag but it once did? Surely it should still rank for such adult search queries?

Improvement in rankings then site dissapears from SERPS?
Unfortunately, all we can do sometimes is to keep marching forward and observe. If no improvement comes at some point, then more answers need to be sought out.

Wordpress GD Star Rating Not Showing In SERPS
Still not showing. I think I'll uninstall it as it seems to slow down page load time significantly

How To Get GD Star Rating working in wordpress categories.
Not that I can see no. When I go to the 'categories' tab within the GD star rating settings I can see all the categories but next to each one it says 'no multi set assigned'. I have created a multi set but how do I assign it to the categories?

PR4 blog but no data in OSE?
Hi Samuel, Interesting question. Let me add a little bit to lbi-tr's answer. A lot of times folks will buy old expired domains with high PageRank and try to use them for something else. If the links to these domains are on a part of the Internet that aren't very active, or hidden under layers of navigation, it's not uncommon to find little link data for them in Open Site Explorer. In this case here's what we can find out (sorry if this repeats anything) 1. The site was for sale in 2011, based on a capture from the Wayback machine: http://web.archive.org/web/20110202101214/http://osozo.com/ 2. Although OSE doesn't have any link data, Ahrefs shows some incoming domains, Most importantly is directory.supremohosting.com/, which 301 redirects to the site in question. This is likely where the PR 4 is coming from, and there is link data for this domain in OSE: http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?site=http%3A%2F%2Fdirectory.supremohosting.com%2F Unfortunately, the PR4 means almost nothing in this case. It's doubtful that the incoming link juice will help this site rank for anything at all. When a site changes hands and goes through major changes in content, search engines usually make the site "re-earn" it's rankings, despite what the toolbar PR says. In general when you guest post, you want to ask: Is it relevant to your audience? Can you envision these articles in a newspaper or magazine? Would you trust this site with your credit card? Adding Google Authorship To Wordpress Category Pages
Thanks for your reply. I have content I have written at the top of the list of posts that I want to claim authorship for. So there is no way to do this?
