MOZ Local not recognizing listing in ranking - score should be higher
Hi rosemontmedia The check listing tool is a search tool, so it will rely on the response Facebook and Hotfrog provides when we are querying for the business information. Each time you generate a listing report, this is a live query. If no results are found, this means the data is not available in their respective API's. Hotfrog doesn't have the best API as many listings fail to appear in our searches. For Facebook, you will want to make sure their listing is setup as a local business page and has a couple of check-ins in order for the information to be available. Hope this helps!

MOZ Local Issue - Having Problem submitting multiple offices in the same city
Hi Joel. It looks like James has answered your question pretty well, I'd only add that you'll want to make sure you're logged in to the corresponding Facebook and Google + accounts for the location that you're trying to set up in Moz Local. So if you're trying to do all five at the same time, you'd have five browsers running with five separate logins while also logged into Moz Local. That way when you get to the Facebook or Google verification link it will do so properly. Cheers!

Submitted listings for Removal via MOZ local 7 months - still showing 'Request Submitted'
Hi Rosemont, Thanks for taking the time to ask about this. I want to share with you all that I can about this topic. I completely understand that there might be some confusion surrounding this, and we've recently updated our Help Hub to reflect our current best advice regarding duplicates. Basically, what happens is that Moz suggests the duplicate closure request to given platforms and they then process these in very big batches, based on each platform's own internal structure of handling such requests, whether they come from Moz or from a data aggregator or what have you. The issue, then, is that we have no way to estimate time frames or to guarantee that a request on our part won't be denied by a given platform based on its own assessment of whether a duplicate is really a duplicate or not. They have the deciding vote on this. So, at this point, what we're suggesting to customers is that they consider manually closing small numbers of duplicates as they may get faster results than Moz will. For large accounts with hundreds of customers with hundreds of duplicates, it can be helpful to automate duplicate closure requests with the thought that they will eventually close, but it's unlikely to happen quickly, bringing us back to the suggestion that manual closure for small numbers of duplicates may be a smarter route where speed is key. We'd love this to be faster and more reliable to automate, but we're working within the limitations of the various platforms. For your particular situation, as we've already assumed management of the duplicates in order to request closure of them, you would not be able to act manually. I'm not sure if it would be possible to reverse our management of the duplicates, but if you would like to get further feedback on this, you could create a help request with our Help Team who then might be able to escalate the question to our engineers to see if reversal would be possible. https://moz.com/help/contact I want to apologize for the inconvenience you've experienced and disappointment with time frames. The duplicates feature is really helpful for surfacing duplicates, but for now, manual closure may be faster than automated closure.

Submission Question for MOZ Local - Potential Issue with Submission and Facebook
Hey There! I'm glad you've asked about this. From your description, it sounds to me like you may not actually be running the 'right' type of Facebook page for the businesses in question. Moz Local validates against Facebook Place pages only - not social/brand-type pages. In order for validation to succeed, you would need to have a unique Facebook Place for each of business locations. Facebook Place pages can typically be identified by the fact that they have: Reviews A map Complete name, address, phone number, website Visits (not just likes) If you discover that you need to change the type of Facebook page for a business, you can investigate this directly with Facebook by going to: https://www.facebook.com/help/343548832389235/ Click on the heading ‘How do I add a map or address to my page?’ to see Facebook’s guidelines for changing the type of page. Alternatively, we can validate against a Google+ Local/Google My Business page, instead of Facebook, but likewise, each location will need to have a unique page, and the pages must be postcard-verified with Google in order for us to see them. Hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask. If you need to show me the Facebook page in question, and don't want to post it publicly, you can PM me. You can also start a ticket at our Help Hub for private assistance.
