I want to tell users that our business wrote the content, doesn't seem to be a way to do that yet which is disappointing.

RE: Rel=author?? google auth?
Hi Matthew thanks for the advice so far. I am a little confused now. we have rel=publisher and rel=author.
I understand schema, so far on our business site we have verified our google+ page with our website by adding some code.
I have no rel=publisher and no rel=author on any pages. I have some fantastic holiday guides however. Can i benefit from using this rel=author feature or rel-publisher?
Publisher i am assuming is used for business pages?

As far as im aware you cannot link up with your business profile on g+ - just the personal one to auth a page content?

RE: Google Auth and brands/individuals problem
After reading this interesting article:
http://www.seomoz.org/blog/how-to-prepare-for-authorrank-and-get-the-jump-on-google
Suggesting not hte ctr% of picture in results is beneficial but actually Google will take auth rank into consideration. If this happens, its not fair on brands who write quality and trust content.

Google Auth and brands/individuals problem
So you can auth pages with personal google+ profiles - and its being suggested by some that this could now help rankings if that person has lots of people in their circles.
So what about brand/companies content? why cant they auth the content with their Google+ profile to get the content ranking better.
It doesn't seem right an individual blogger can do this but a company cannot who has written lots of guides.
An example is a holiday company has written some awesome content on resorts around the World - how to use the auth for that content to rank higher? - currently only possible to link up an individual as writing the content not the brand/company itself.
Any suggestions on this much appreciated. I do not want to lose any gain there might be from this new bonus given from Google.

RE: Social media and google
I think the issue is i know you get value in organic rankings for social noise.
I was just wondering to get it, do you need all profiles to have exact match url exenstion so:

Social media and google
Do you need exact url brand match to get the benefits of social media noise in the google organic rankings?
EG:
my url extensions have my brnad but other words in, if i get noise does my website stil benefit in the rankings because it has the url in the profile? or do i need exact match in the url?

Changing links
Hi guys i wanted you views on changing the anchor text of links.
I have quality links coming in but with year terms such as 2012 in there, if i want to change them all to 2013 for example would it be badly seen by Google?
I cant say i feel comfortable about doing it but they are my links and are related to our products.
Any advice much appreciated.

RE: Removing links from blogpost inactive blogs
Hi David, yeah im doing lots of branded links but the situation is this:
Anchor text one = 110 linking domains
Anchor text two = 57 linking domains
Anchor text one is what we want = were on page 3, its a very very competitive keyword
Anchor text two is brand.
I believe the reason is theres just far too many linking domains going to anchor text one.

RE: Removing links from blogpost inactive blogs

Removing links from blogpost inactive blogs
Hi there, I am having alot of difficulty in removing links to my domain name from .blogspot.com blogs which are inactive and i cannot contact the user.
Not so great previous seo works were done and i now need to clean it up, however no idea how to get rid of these blogspot ones.
As Google own it, do they have a contact form for it, where i can complain and get pages removed?
Any help MUCH appreciated guys and gals.

RE: Rel=author rel=me
Hi there, thanks for that. How do i connect my individual profile to the company profile on google+?

Links in google+ profile
THe links people can add in the about part of a google+ profile - do they have any effect on rankings? is this worth doing for link building?

RE: Rel=author rel=me
I am sorry i just am so confused. Ok i have no author page, i have a blog section and a google + profile. WHat do i do simply?
I noticed on my Google+ page for the business page i do not have a ;contributor' section. Meaning an individual has to do this?
-
RE: Rel=author rel=me
So you have to have an author page for this to work, i cannot make rel=me go to just the root blog directory?
