Domain.com/postname vs. Domain.com/blog/postname
Regarding B), one thing to consider is whether redirects will help or hurt your site. Even websites that are appropriately redirected lose some link equity in the process. See Matt Cutts' video here which says that roughly 10-15% of PageRank is lost through redirects and outgoing links. Therefore, if the site has existed using the format domain.com/post-name for a long time and attracted links to those URLs, then the small benefit you get from adding the keyword to the URL may be outweighed by the natural loss of link equity. For C), an introductory blurb could help, but make it good quality content, not just for keywords. Especially since this text will push down the actual blog posts, it needs to be worthwhile for people to read or it could increase bounce rate.

NEW WEBSITE WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO RECOVERY THE AUTHORITY OF OLD DOMAIN NAME?
Hi Tamir. A) I think you'll still want to redirect the new site back to the old domain because it's been created and is a better user experience for people who started going to it to get pointed back to the correct site. Redirecting it will also eliminate duplicate content issues. You can probably use one line of redirection if the traffic and links are very low so that people just go to the new site's home page since the new site hasn't been interacted with that much, but in addition to links you should look at the Analytics to know if that's the case. If the new site is getting thousands of visitors it'd be a better user experience for the page about X to redirect to the old domain about X. B) You have to have an exact match for a page to work, i.e. you have to have the .html at the end if you want to completely mimic the old site. Otherwise, yes, you'll need to redirect from http://www.old-domain.com/our-destinations.html to http://www.old-domain.com/our-destinations D) Adding the blog folder is fine, and helpful in a lot of cases (when you just want to analyze the blog separate from the website, for example). Cheers!

How to find a skilled SEO sparing partner
As far as my experience goes you are looking for a person who can audit your website and pinpoint the areas that are week and more importantly answer the question that why your competitors that haven’t really done any on-page is ranking better than you. Once done with that, you obviously want them to work on the project accordingly. My idea is to look for the list of service providers that are recommended by Moz: http://moz.com/article/recommended Another option could be to meet service providers in your local area and have one-to-one conversation about your website. Ask them some tough questions and if they are answering satisfied question my idea is to go with them. I did a post about how to hire a digital marketing consultant for your business. Check this out and see if tips here can help! http://www.setalks.com/how-to-find-quality-seo-consultant-for-my-business/ Hope this helps!

How to recover google rank after changing the domain name?
Hi Tamir, Matt has already done a great job in answering this and I would add just a small side note - my guess for the new domain came from someone reading that keyword matching between domains and content was a great way to get better results in SERPs. It's antiquated thinking but that's what it looks like (adding "travel" to the domain in the hopes that potential customers would better understand what they were all about). As Matt said, the big issue is the way the redirects were handled (should be 301'd to a similar site structure for the smallest possible rankings impact). If you were to create a site structure similar to that found on the previous site, you would probably see a return to those traffic levels (or close) fairly quickly. Another method might be to re-institute the previous site by reloading the site map on the old domain (there are tools for this). This would permit you to use the old site until you could get a proper site structure set up for the new one. You don't have to move back to the previous website permanently, but it wouldn't be a bad idea until to have sorted out what you want to do with the new site moving forward. A properly-executed 301 redirect should cost you between 1-3% of your overall link juice. Hope this helps a bit. Rob

Exact keyword match for meta title and h1 what is best practice?
I agree with you Massimiliano, Overall that is a great strategy and yes, just because they get more volume does not mean they are the best keywords. Different keywords are used at different stages of the buying cycles. In this case I was just telling Tamir how I would choose the order from those specific combinations of the same 5 words. Assuming he has done his research and those are the keywords he is going to target. Getting traffic is one step in the game, converting the traffic is another important step as well. Best Regards, Joe

UPS bought a domain that was blacklisted and now we cant rank in Google
Thanks Brandan! I change the link as recommended to nofollow and anchor text to holidayshuahin.com But what do you think about the 308 links i send from Dreamestaethuahin.com menu to Holidayshuahin.com if HOLIDAYSHUAHIN somehow recieved a penelty than it might be best not to link at all from menu. Instead i could link from menu to a page on Dreamestatehuahin.com that will be the only page pointing out to Holidayshuahin.com

Things I still get about backlinks
A: Links from banner vs Content ? Content, always from the content, google like contextual links B: Backlinks from India SEO company do they hurt our link profile? If you think this backlink could not be good for your domain authority, use Disavow and sleep better, but I would not worry so much as soon as there are just couple of links, variety is also important. Should I ping my links using tools or have my friends click on them ? Nah, let them index alone. Patience is very important for SEO How many links should I try to build a week ? Depends on your niche and competitors, im working in a niche with low-medium competence and im creating 10 links / month, im ranking extrem well. E: Does the position of a backlink matter (in case your able to select position) I also like to write the backlink in the first paragraph so that google robot follow it as soon as possible, but i´m not really sure if this is a factor xD F) Link profile I would not use links on sidebars/footers for a link building factor, but for getting referred traffic interested on your niche. Always nofollow.

Page structure and how to optimize old content
Hi there, and welcome! Wow, you've asked a lot of great questions. Would you mind asking them one at a time as new questions? You are more likely to get each question answered completely that way.
