Hi Malik, if you have a Pro account try the beta of "Link Explorer" the replacement for Open Site Explorer. This promises to update your links much faster;  in fact it updates each day! Also this allows you to add and track future back link URLs to see when they are discovered to be linked by Moz. If you're not a Pro account holder, hopefully this tool will be available to all soon

Hi, No, there is no good reason to do this. For linking purposes, this will do absolutely nothing for you. Sitewide and Footer links are mostly just ignored or devalued by Google, but could end up with you looking spammy. Hey, Dave from the help team here, we schedule a release at the end of the month and strive to deliver earlier in the month as we are able.  We have typically been able to beat our published date over the last 12 months, so while Feb 26th is our target, its possible to be finished faster.  Let us know if you have any other questions!

Same reason there's a difference between the number of backlinks between SEMrush and Majestic, Majestic and Ahrefs, Ahrefs and MOZ or all of the third-party backlink tools and Search Console. These tools scan the web at different paces and start from different places. That's why some of them find backlinks that others don't.
