Although I cannot see the whole initial URL, it might be that all those 10,000 pages are being redirected to that enable-cookies URL (like if the content was behind a login page and therefore if you are not logged in, all URLs will be redirected to the login page to access the content). Did you change anything on the site that requires visitors to have the cookies enabled to work? Could this be related to the European Cookie legislation, where visitors should opt-in to cookies before they start using your site (see http://www.ico.gov.uk/)? Cheers Michel

I've been developing in Magento for several years, and I can tell you without a doubt that it's better to keep the H1 tag wrapped around the actual product name on your product pages. This should be default on all pages except the home page, where the H1 is wrapped around the IMG ALT for the logo in the header. I prefer to move the H1 on the main page so that it wraps actual relevant text, but it requires a little bit of editing of the Magento core, and like everyone has said, heading hierarchy doesn't count for much in Google's algorithm these days. The best way to add specific keywords for product-level pages in Magento is via the Short Description, General Description, and the Product Tags. Tags are likely the most effective solution, as this functionality was designed for customers to make notes about products, so "White Business Shirt" would look natural there and make perfect sense. You might also try very minimal internal linking from your homepage if you have a specific product you're attempting to boost your SERP ranking for. Something like "Our best selling <  a h r e f = product url  >business shirt<  /  a >." To be honest, there's so many factors involved in correctly optimizing a Magento-based site, I'd recommend not wasting your time with H tags at all, especially masking and duplicating them. You'll be much better off if you concentrate on optimizing your category hierarchy, writing unique product descriptions, dealing with duplicate content, configuring robot instructions, decreasing load times, etc... Hi Jason, First of all I would like to underline that you can only point out rich snippets on a product page, if they are visible for the user on the page. You can only point out hidden values such as telling search engines the currency you are using. If you have a product description on the page then you can include that in the rich snippet by inserting a few lines of code into the page. For further documentation I would recommend you to read through the following article: http://support.google.com/webmasters/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=146750 Check the examples on the page, they have helped me a lot while I was working on our sites rich snippets. These should answer your first two questions. The 3rd question: there is a submission form from Google where you need to submit your site (please be aware that it can take up a month until you will see results)  - We have seen results in a weekend. Magento 1.4 and above has native support for canonical tags but it has to be be enabled.  Goto System > Configuration >Catalog > Search Engine Optimization and enable Use Canonical Link Meta Tag For Categories and Use Canonical Link Meta Tag For Products
