Subdomain vs. Separate Domain for SEO & Google AdWords
Hi mk I am completely with Martin here. It never made sense creating a domain name with company and product in in the first place. You would be doubling the mistake by bringing it back to a sub domain. In my opinion you either leave it like it is but more preferably, use a subfolder, then 301 all the old site back to the equivalent pages within that. i.e. domain.com/catergory/separateproduct It just doesn't make sense from a number of points running a site just for a subset of products. The site would continually fight with www.companyname.com for link juice. It's far better to keep the whole shebang under one umbrella. Although part of the ranking factor in determining QS is associated with conversion history I would argue that it is heavily skewed towards how the ad text is written targeting appropriately written on page content/headings/meta. How do I cancel a crawl request?
I don't believe there's a way from the user side to cancel a crawl. However, your competitor won't get notified of anything. Moz doesn't have their email address or phone number to contact them. The tool crawls their site like Google, Yahoo, Ahrefsbot, Majesticbot, and all the other web search engines do. They will not even notice that you ran this accidentally. It's similar to doing a crawl of a site with any other search engine or tool. It will literally never come to this but if they question it, blame your SEO guy. Everyone else does. lol Say "my SEO guy must be doing some competitor research." Us SEO guys do that all the time for pretty much every client. We'd not really be doing our job if we didn't.
