From what I understand, the # doesn't ever get sent to the server, so it would be impossible to include it in a rewrite rule.

RE: Setting Up Google Analytics for domains with 301
When you say data is showing up - what kind of data? Referring data? Or actual pageviews?

RE: GWTs Crawl Errors Report listing Analytics Virtual Page Views as 404s
That's very odd.
Does the ultimate destination of those clicks 404? Google has gotten better and better at crawling JavaScript, but this isn't your typical JS link.
I wouldn't worry about it, but I'd say it's just a bug.

RE: How to manage and order many advanced segments on Google Analytics ?
First, I agree, the advanced segment list can get pretty messy. And there's no easy way to reorder or structure them.
Still, we've managed to keep it slightly under control with some rules.
Here's how we do it at Distilled:
When creating an advanced segment there's a "more options" toward the end of the creation process. In here you can select whether that segment will be available to all profiles, or a select few. (see image)
Now, we have do have some advanced segments that are available to all profiles. Those are the common ones that might be useful to any website. (Quick access segments like Google Organic, Macs, 2 or 3 word keywords, US visitors only, etc.)
Otherwise, whenever we create one that is specific to the client's site, we select only their profile(s) in the more options list.
You should end up with the top of your custom segment list as your "any profile" segments, and the ones at the bottom are client specific.
You can do this retroactively by editing segments. It can be time consuming, but you'll only have to do it once - assuming you properly assign all new segments moving forward.

RE: How Do I Know My Videos Are Indexed?
Hmm. Well, it appears that they are indexed, but GWT is not reporting it properly. I'd probably check to make sure the Sitemap is set up properly, as it probably shouldn't have taken this long to reflect in GWT.
At least the videos ARE indexed? But perhaps not indexed fully enough to allow for thumbnails in the SERPs and any other markup.

Gonne be closing this question soon! Has the situation improved?
