I think we would need more information to help you. From what it sounds like, you have a blog site up and currently do not have meta descriptions attached to many of your individual blog posts. Depending on how your site is set up, then the /feed may be an RSS feed.

Social media profiles that will provide you both no follow and follow links (You actually need both because if all Google see's are follow links then they know you're trying to spam the system)
StumbleUpon, Google+, Twitter, WikiPedia, Flicker etc
Link Baiting
Since you seem comfortable with Excel, just add the data in a spreadsheet and sort the data by expiration date oldest to newest. The oldest ones should show up on top and would be the priority to focus to make sure they are up to date.
