I have managed to land a few expert pieces on external sites for my company and would like to document that on our blog in the form of mini-blurbs which lead through to the article... but if I link back to it, is that bad practice?
Lots of companies do this. On their media page they link to third party coverage of their work. Your situation is kinda the reverse. You are showing where your authorship has landed. I don't see anything wrong with it - unless it is done at scale... but I am not Google.
