Anchor name URLs & anchor blocks: how Google sees them?
You could certainly give it a try! Just be careful not to keyword stuff - having your section titles as different variations of one target keyword can look repetitive to users and Google if there are too many of them.

Where has Google found the £1.00 value for the penny black? Is it Google moving beyond the mark-ups too?
Yes, Google is going well beyond mark-up with the new v2.0 answer boxes. They're trying to extrapolate answers directly from indexed content. This is essential if they're going to expand the Knowledge Graph, but it's also an aggressive move, and they're not all that good at it yet. Unfortunately, there's no great way to control when/how/what they show. So far, all of these answer boxes seem to come from page 1, so you have to have enough authority to rank on page 1. After that, though, it's a pretty crude matching process to on-page keywords. The matching is contextual (since the Hummingbird update powered more of that), but it's still pretty basic keyword/concept matching.

Site wide content like "why choose us" just above the footer on every single page
Hi, We have a 'Why Choose us' section on most pages of one of our websites, and it hasn't affected our SEO in the slightest. It helps inform people as to why they should choose our company as opposed to the competition. I don't believe it's 'garbage' - SO LONG as it's well executed. It drives conversion for us, so I think it's worth having. I don't think it's worth having if there is nothing to differentiate yourself (or your client) but that's a different topic. As far as SEO goes, it does no harm - so long as the rest of the content on the page is unique and useful. Good luck, whatever you choose to do. Amelia

Schema.org mark up to avoid duplicate issue?
I got your point of having a firm conversation about this issue, but the agency is not mine and my concern is to see the client sacking us off. That's why I'm trying to find a way to cope with this lack of content. I'm agreed we need unique product descriptions, but how could we write original content for products such as windows, doors, furnitures, or some products for B2B like spare parts of industrial machines? I mean writing some original piece of content for common products such as food, clothes or gadget is pretty easy, but for example, when you look for windows and doors you need to read technical specifications - in other words numbers, measurements - and benefits. We can't change numbers, we can write original content to describe benefits instead, but writing benefits won't mean mocking up facts and things. You can write about benefits of a product only when you know that specific product and the industry. IMHO when you are THE random guy who writes anything you will only produce thin content. So far, in my career I found very hard to face clients - too many - who expect results by a touch of magic, like they have hired Harry Potter! I got it may be even worse having every page linked to the official manufacturer page in a schema.org product mark-up, so my last move is to put down original description for the category page and forward to the client to get the approval. In this way I hope to start seeing some benefit while I am pushing them to write original content. Thanks for the response P

Change the date of the monthly report
We have the same complaint about the system. Hoping to hear that MOZ is planning to change this so that the custom monthly reports we set to run for us automatically will come in for the previous month on the first few days of the following month. Only having the report run every month on the day you set it up on is bonkers. With the system being the way it is currently I have set a reminder to reset all monthly reports to run this month once I see that September data is showing. Currently there is no other work around that I am aware of.

How to deal with link echoes of former hacked websites?
Hi Tom, thanks for you reply. I had you same concern about informing Google I have suspicious links in my profile although we aren't currently suffering from a Google penalty. Unfortunately, what today made literately me scared was that I found brand new echoes that I couldn't find in Google cached and it seems like they have been adding new link a daily basis for days. I can count around hundreds made from this site http://haeri26.kr/ since mid August, so I don't know what expect in the future. Moreover, as I changed site structure and made changes in the keywords I expected the current fluctuation for the tracked keywords' rankings, how can I be sure these are common ranking fluctuations and not a kind penalisation? To details a bit the fluctuation experienced: it was first a drop of around 15/20 positions, but in less than week I saw a fast recovery - usually improving the initial benchmark - soon followed by a new sad drop of a couple of pages for all the keywords. I'm scared an external agency we got rid in July is getting its childish revenge in this way. Thanks, P.
