How to rank if you are an aggregator or a directory of resource?
WE LOVE THIS QUESTION. Have you used your site for other content purposes like blogging? If you're a directory, you could reach out to reputable companies (or whatever you're a directory for) and ask them to either guest post on your blog and then share it on social media, or you could use link building tactics to get people to link to your site. Make sure you add the value to your directory or aggregator, and make it clear what the purpose of your site is. One thing you could take advantage of is social media. Since you're an aggregator, you probably have a niche or target, and you can reach that audience to funnel traffic to your website through social media. Other than that, we would just recommend making sure your backend is as tight as possible, and make sure it's optimized for mobile, since mobile is a huge factor. Another thing to look into would be to optimize for voice search. Hope this helps, and looking forward to seeing other responses!

Anyone knows/seeing this strange bump in traffic from Granada, Spain?
I can't speak to this specific traffic source, but it's very, very common to see strange bumps in traffic from unusual sources for short periods of time. 100 different reasons this could happen. Strange web configurations that accidentally link to you from every page of thier site, odd redirects, spambots gone bad, etc. Almost always, it's harmless and you can typically ignore it, although it can play havoc with your reporting.

Which domain/subdomain strategy would be better?
Theoretically it might be better from an SEO to have English on the root. If there's already something established on the root, it could be the right choice. Google sees subdomains as brand new domains, so you're starting from scratch. If you have a lot of other languages that already visit the site, though, you msystem turn off more people than you attract.

Strange problem with basic html anchor tag linking to my domain
Many thanks, Timbronz The solution you suggested worked perfectly. The "\x" is a particularly very different insight as just escaping "%" with "" does not work. Dennis Seymor, it is finding that way to redirect was the toughest problem as just escaping does not work and this has stumped many.
