What the secret for Bing and Yahoo
Lets see, I submitted, if it works then all the better Trying something new from today, read an article by Eric Enge and Mark Traphagen about the effects of personalising posts. My blog posts are well read by people in my industry, but there's a distinct lack of engagement i.e. comments, so I've added an image of myself to half of my articles so I can track the results, hopefully get more shares and some comments - though a pic of me is likely to scare people off lol. As always ur a star

Amazing results even after 1 week!
Hi Marijn, thanks for responding, I guess I got the wrong impression of the Moz functionality, thought that the weekly updates were instantanious and provide a "as it is now" perspective of authority, so its handy to know, so thanks for the share I have a query about updates, (in relation to the Google index) that you might be able to help me with? Only if you have the time of course. I provide software that displays a footer link, I know for sure which sites are using my software and that a little under half retain the footer link. A best case guess of the amount of links that are pointing to my main are in the order of 400k (maybe even double this amount), because it varies per site dependant on the amount of pages, one site, has 10k pages (which is probably the largest) but the others range from 100 to a couple of thousand pages (all of which contain a link back). The problem is that my domain authority doesn't seem to reflect this amount of links. One would think even new sites would pass a little link juice, or is it possible that Google is discounting most or a selection of them? I was thinking of compiling a list of sites that use my software, with links so that Google will crawl the sites, but I read that this can affect authority negatively? fyi - Moz says that there are only 35k, which is less than a 10th (at best) of what's out there. Best wishes, Lee

Is social networking really worth all the effort?
Hi James, have been considering ssl for a while, maybe time to make the switch, thanks for the share. Have been struggling with bounce ever since organic overtook referrals, is pretty hard to create product documentation and get people to move to another page, especially as most bookmark the pages and close the page when they've finished reading. Having blog pages has helped and since including a forum bounch has dropped, but still a little over 40%. Good luck with the new site launch, hope it goes well for you

Duplicate Forum Content
How delightful that you refer to Invisionpower as I recently took the software for a test drive and plan to purchase it in January A question though that has been troubling me. I use a paid for hosting service, which forwards to one of my sub-domains. The problem is I have nearly 7k pages of duplicate content (all from the forum), I really want to add a no follow and then remove the forum pages from the search index and thus remove all of the duplicate content. Though I'm worried that adding no follow to the sub domain may impact on the main site. I have a lot of page one search positions, many long tails which combined result in a lot of visits, but I also have a couple of short phrases that get 50% of the visits alone, so I can't risk making any changes, actually I'm pretty terrified to make any changes, just in case all of my website pages are removed from the index.
