Thanks Brad and I agree.  By the way, we are required to state the term of this sweepstakes (by law) which is in our official rules but I don't think we'll use the counter widget.

We are also offering over 10 prizes along the way whenever a certain milestone is achieved.

We are about to launch an ambitious sweepstakes with considerable cash/gift card prizes.  The application we are using allows us to show "Time Left To Enter" widget.  In your opinion should we use that widget if the sweepstakes period is 90 days?

Personally I'm leaning towards removing the widget to instill some sense of urgency and maybe enable it later on.

What do you think?

Hi SEOmoz-ers,

I was wondering if anyone has data regarding product page abandonment rate (% of potential customers that leave the site after seeing product pages) for websites like Overstock, REI or Zappos?

As you may know the above mentioned sites do an exceptional job with product pages. It would be helpful to know what some of the leaders in this space are achieving in terms of conversion rate.

What is your personal opinion about this?
