Are Silos Still Important for SEO?
Silos do several things that make them valuable IMO: First they allow you to control how pagerank(ranking potential) flows throughout your site. They allow users to navigate your site much easily(imagine trying to navigate amazon if it wasn't in silos) It makes internal linking easier because then you don't have to stretch to find a legit way to link all the pages within a silo You can focus on specific keywords or keyword categories Those are a few of the benefits. So yes I think they are still really valuable. P.S. the majority of updates have been punishing people who are trying to game the system through content farms, anchor, texts, and other linkbuilding tactics. Good information architecture is still good information architecture.

Best to Post Dynamic Content (Listings) under "Posts" in Wordpress?
Hi Alan I think a little more info would help. Are listings going to be replaced and updated (and the page address stays the same) or are new listings going to be added (ie: new pages will be added)? Basically, if the page URL stays the same, ie domain.com/neighborhood/listing/ and you're simply updating content - then Pages are the best way. And you would just use nesting etc to get the structure set up. If the URLs change, and new ones keep getting added, then you may want to use Posts. My guide to WordPress on Moz explains a lot of this stuff in detail. And I did a little tutorial video on posts vs pages This is a little unique case scenerio, so if you can give a little more info (or an example!) that would be helpful! -Dan

Effect of I-Frame on Google Rank
I've seen a few other real estate type sites take a hit similar to what you are describing. I attribute it to the amount of duplicate content across several real estate sites. I'd focus on creating unique content/promotions on YOUR site aside from the listings.
