Thanks for your great suggestions. Although BC has 6000 + pages the vast majority seem to be pdf's of their parts catalog. with no pr at all. Nether one of  BC or PSB have many links back with anchor text as "Speakers" the vast majority are the company names: <a class="clickable title link-pivot" title="See top linking pages that use this anchor text">b c speakers</a> - 250+ PSB Speakers - 3000+ Do you think that google is seeing "psb speakers" as the company name and ignoring "speakers" as a relevant term?

It does not hurt the site directly, these headers can help you optimize your website speed by allowing the "Expires" tag to register to a future time so the browser can cache and make your site faster to load and navigate. So it depends on your niche and competitors. if all variables are equal and the only difference between the both site is speed. than you better optimize your sites speed.

For facebook, if you use the proper open graph meta data your Likes will be consolidated. With respect to Google +1, I can share my viewpoint and best guess. You are presently choosing to canonicalize these pages, but they are in fact separate web pages. You can choose to remove the canonical tag at any time so the data needs to be tracked separately.

Hi James - i saw your reply on this thread and a quick question - i was running Gsitecrawler, after selecting all the suitable options , it opens up a "Crawl watch" page. While I am assuming it is crawling the site, as per the online instruction it says to select the "Generate" tab at the main application window (I did not opt for auto ftp). When should I select the Generate option, immediately or wait for crawl to complete? suparno

I am having this same issue. There are plenty of links on my website to other pages of my website, but I am only getting 1... I thought it might be because my links are in a spry menu, but I have some bottom links that are normal links. http://www.photogbykelly.com I am the business owner/Photographer/Editor/Webmaster... I did not go to school for HTML (except for one basic class) if you know what I'm doing wrong, can you explain in laments terms? The hosting co I use is BlueHost. Thanks Kelly
