I have noticed in my Google news website, that after publishing a post, it takes around 3-4 weeks till that page gains MOZ page authority

I am interested in knowing why it takes this set period of time.

Is there a way to shorted that period?

And am I correct in thinking that links from a page with MOZ authority of say 33 is more powerful then a link from a page with MOZ page authority of 1?

Would be great to understand more about this

We are looking at buying a business that has a number of websites

Is it against buying a business that has a Google News website and continue to use the site?

Once the business is sold, would google remove the site from its News?

How would I redirect this URL:

http://www.members.mysite.com/

to this URL:

http://www.mysite.com/

?

Yes understood, I shouldnt be worried about these strange link urls.

But I am now concerned about the behavior of my site in the way when you type in say http://www.dwww.mysite.com, it doesn't give you a 404 or missing page, it shows the home page.

Ive checked my other sites and added characters after the www. and most either redirect to home page or show a page not found.

Any ideas why this isnt happening on this site? Is it the htaccess?

Now there are over 500 links coming from strange URLS

I've just check Majestic and have seen around 50 links coming from one of my other sites. The links all look like this:

http://www.dwww.mysite.com
http://www.eee.mysite.com
http://www.w.mysite.com

The site these links are coming from is a html site.

Any ideas whats going on or a way to get rid of these urls?

When I visit the strange URLs such as http://www.dwww.mysite.com, it shows the home page of http://www.mysite.com. Is there a way to redirect anything like this back to the home page?

I have a number of partner sites that have agreed to promote it for me. They said they would have the graphic on their site or an article that links to the graphic. Its up to me

The goals is to get people to my site and to subscribe or contact us. But also to help to rank for the product the infographic is about

I have a "corner stone" page about the product, that many of my past articles link to. This currently ranks on page 2. I am hoping the infographic can help in boosting that pagges rankings. No idea how I can do that

I am about to post my first Infographic and have a question.

The graphic is fairly long and was wondering, is it better to split this graphic up in to chunks? So that it loads in stages?

I am new to this and would be great if someone could point me to the latest and best practices for infographics. I have seen a few articles but they appear to be old.

I see that there are some plugins that add copyright info to the rss feed, some have a finger print thing going on

Was wondering is there a plugin or trick that is standard practice

Only had my site in google news for 6 months so new to this

Ive noticed there are quite a few websites copying the content from my site I have in Google news.

After speaking to a friend, they told me that there are plugins to help prevent this from happening or leaving some sort of finger print in the copied content.

My site uses author tags already.

Does anyone have recommendations of plugins to use?

I have seen this type of post on a few sites

Its basically a summary of posts for that day or week etc

I am wondering, does anyone know of an easy way to create these types of pages? At the moment we simply copy and paste and create all links manually.

Im wondering, is there a plugin that allows you to create a post like this but quicker?

Great thanks. Yes I think you are correct, the H tag is the same colour as the non link text so you dont actually know its a live link.

I will ask them to change it.

Yes its not site wide, its just in the footer on the page. We are a supporter of their business and they have put a small section about us on their site. The title of the section is our brand name and that is what is linked.

Would it be better to ask for the heading to have the link removed, and the link to be put in the text?

Yes their site isnt the best optimised from what I understand, but it does get a lot of traffic and has a lot of links to it.

Their site is a non profit company

I have found that my site is getting a link from a good site, but my concern is that the link is in a H2 tag in the footer of the front page of the site

Would getting a link from a site wrapped in H2 tags be safe?

The anchor is my sites brand name

Yoast SEO plugin now achieves this in my wp theme. Happy times
