Many errors in Search Console (strange parameters)
Great question John. If I'm understanding your question correctly, you want to know how to specifically fix the 404 errors with parameters that are appearing in your GSC account? Parameters are very useful if used correctly, but I want to make sure I'm understanding your question completely before answering. What exactly are you trying to solve?

Best practices for lazy loading (content)
Hi John! In order to get you an answer that directly relates to what you're trying to do, would you be able to give us more information about your goals with this? As in, what sorts of pages, specifically, you're intending to implement lazy loading on? And as Sergey asked, is it for the site to load faster for users? For overall user experience?

'Results pages'
Hi John! Did Don's response help? I have to say, I'm also curious as to why it's necessary to have 7 variations of these pages.

Copying items from major website - bad?
Hey, Thanks for your answer but I didn't ask about legal or copyright. I have the confirmation to use this content - don't worry. I just ask how to do it without penalty.

SEO Onpage (where I need to put the H1/2/3)?
In general, H-tags are intended for headlines. That's why they've typically been seen as (at this point somewhat weak) ranking signals—the headline of a page is a decent indication of what the page is about, which helps the search engines determine what to serve that page in response to particular searches. I honestly can't see a reason to use H-tags is a widget title like "Most Viewed." It does nothing to communicate what the page is about, and if you're also using an H-tag for the page headline, the second one may "confuse" crawlers. There are other ways to format those widget titles. I really like Wesley Smits's analogy from this Q&A thread: What i would like to add to his answer is that you should look at H1, H2, H3, H4, H5 and H6 tags as if the webpage is a book. In a book the chapter-title is a H1 tag. All the subchapters have an H2 tag. If these subchapters have another sub-area then this would be marked up with an H3 tag and so on. Having a clear hierarchy in your heading tags will make it more user friendly. Search engines might also understand better which parts of the content are connected to each other and which are separate because of this. I really can't speak to why Wordpress themes would be using H-tags in widget/sidebar titles. It's certainly not what I'd recommend.

Auto loading articles ?- best practices
Hey John, Yes it's becoming a common practice as it looks good. The problem with the infinitive scrolling is the use of Java Script. As we all know, Google does not read java script really well so it only reads your top section of page and ignore the scrolling area. For the best practice, it's suggested to use pagination with scrolling. There is also a plugin available that take care of this issue but I haven't used it yet. It's called "infinite ajax scroll". Check out these resources for clearer understanding and implications: https://econsultancy.com/blog/63394-infinite-scroll-its-impact-on-seo-and-how-to-fix-it/ http://www.sitepoint.com/seo-friendly-infinite-scroll/ http://www.quicksprout.com/2014/05/21/how-to-create-an-seo-friendly-infinite-scrolling-page/ Hope this helps! Google Finance
Hey John, To be in "google finance", it takes a bit time and the authority of your site matters a lot. Usually if your site is already in Google news, there are high chances that it will pick up in the finance section itself. I'd suggest you to look at this offical google forum link for detailed information: https://productforums.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!category-topic/news/google-news-publishers/AG5lYhTztys Good luck!

Google News and Meta Title
Hi there I like to include brand in the title, and I actually use the " Page Title | Brand " format. As long as the main page title is seen within the 50-60 characters of your search result, your brand doesn't have to appear - reason being, crawlers read the entire title, but users really only care what they searched for, unless they have a brand preference, so the title of the content will do just fine. Whatever format you choose, keep it consistent. Hope my opinion here helps, good luck!

Google news and Yoast News
Hi John The best I can offer you from here is to experiment. Try some news that match perfectly (I wouldn't include the brand in your H1, however - regardless of what Google says) and try some that vary. Measure your performance and CTR for each and see how they compare. Which set out performed the other? I would also look into creating a news sitemap (https://support.google.com/news/publisher/answer/74288?hl=en) and look into NewsArticle schema (https://schema.org/NewsArticle). Both help you define your title better for crawlers. Let me know if you have any more questions!

?replytocom= WHAT TO DO?
First, make sure you have the proper canonical URLs set up in your theme. You can use a good SEO plugin (Yoast, All-in-One SEO) or add it yourself. Second, go into Google Webmaster Tools and add "replytocom" to your URL Paramaters (Crawl > URL Parameters). Third, monitor the amount of those URLs in Google's index by doing the following Google search: site:yourdomain.com replytocom Hope that helps! Tom

Rebranding: 404 to homepage?
I can't think of any reason it wouldn't be safe to alter those redirects after a month. You may want to resubmit your sitemap in Webmaster Tools to alert Google, but it should be totally safe. I'm afraid I can't recommend a plugin or regular expression—those are both well outside my expertise. As an agency SEO, I placed 301s in .htaccess or had a dev do it for me.

A lot of news / Duplicate Content - what to do?
Hi John; Internal links should indeed be changed to the url's you keep. On the duplicates - it's best to put a noindex, follow - that way the value from the external links to the page is still beneficial for your site (if this article is still valid http://www.stonetemple.com/articles/interview-matt-cutts.shtml) To be honest - for duplicate pages that have incoming external links - I would rather 301 them to the original article (or put a canonical to the original).
