Rel Canonical for HTTP and HTTPS pages
The HTTPS are inaccessible without logging in because it is paid content. The HTTP version is a preview of the actual documents and images. I would like the pages to be indexed so people will sign up to preview the actual docs and become a paying member. Thank you for the advice. Joey

SEO and Indexing via a Document Reader
Hey Joey They would just need to be able to crawl and access it somehow. So you'd want to link to that content from public pages, or maybe try putting it in an XML or HTML sitemap, and as mentioned try "submitting to index" in Search Console. But yes, they'll index it as long as they can crawl it from somewhere else. Running the crawler on your site and seeing if it gets picked up is a good way to see.

Why is the Page Authority for posts in my blog so low
Hello there, Remember that PA and DA depend on link metrics. So, if there is no link pointing to the page you are studying, there will be no metrics. Search this topic URL in OSE and will see that it has no backlink. There you have the reason why it has PA=1. Age is not the only factor. Hope it helps. GR PS: As a general rule, it is advisable to do not rely in only one metric (or one platform metrics), try to compare and correlate with other platforms and metrics.

Wordpress Tags and Catagories
Hi Eric, Without having too much info to work from, it does sound like you're on the right track here. If the tags aren't really serving a purpose there's no reason to have them junking up your site with duplicates. If those tags are removed correctly they won't generate 404s because nothing should be linking to them. The only way you might end up with an internal 404 through removing them is if you've linked directly to them in your content. It's always a good idea to crawl your site with something like Screaming Frog's SEO Spider after the removal to make sure. The other thing to double-check is your referral traffic in Google Analytics and your backlink profile. Between these two you can confirm that you don't have any links pointing to a tag page that's actually sending real traffic. It's unlikely but still worth checking!

What can I put on a 404 page?
However, once you have a good 404 page, it is really worthwhile to use the Moz tools to find and correct any 404 errors you have. Every redirected URL has the chance to enhance your domain authority.
