Wow! Thanks, Jeff. Can't tell you how much we appreciate your efforts here. It's great to have the wider based testing in addition to our own. Thanks also for your footer suggestion. We always used to have footer links and when we changed over to WordPress, because our menus are html now, we dropped them. But you offer a great reason to put them back in. We need to make a widget spot for that and I am considering some text changes for the Home page, so we won't be launching the Responsive site until those are completed. Thanks again!!!

Hi Gina! Sorry about the radio silence. We pushed a fix on October 15th that should have addressed this. Are things still looking weird on your end?

Thank you Christopher and Vadim. This is what I was hoping to hear. I like the idea that I'm not stuck with what I've got and am free to switch it up, but it was too risky to just play around with. Thank you for all the comprehensive information OverflowSEO. I am still wondering how I can be #2 in Google and drop to "not in top 50" in Bing. A 44 point drop in one week. Any thoughts on that specifically?

We were Google verified long ago- we have the little check mark in G+ and I use AuthorSure. So lo and behold, we just checked and the code is there. So sorry to waste your time!!!

I feel like I am passing a lot of new found intelligence and knowledge to our clients and even our leads. I turned someone away from us last week and towards SEOMoz recommendations and companies I've been turned on to by being here in SEOMoz. It felt great to have such fine folks to recommend. No, it would not be problematic. Exact match anchor text is very usual on the homepage.

Thank you, Rui and everybody. I think I'm finding out why I have never pursued this topic- it's obviously a deep one from all your responses and it's an area I haven't had a need to know much about. I obviously know next to nothing or even less than that because I don't even know what bids are in adwords. I just signed up for the keyword I was pursuing and off I went. From what I can see, it's working well so far in terms of the listings and I'm where I want to be in that. Getting clicks and calls is another story. One signed client will be worth a lot of adword budget in our field.

Thanks, you two. Lucky you were able to identify the cause and work to repair. It doesn't seem to be an exact match anchor text problem for us and nothing with a site mixup. I am happy for you! I have investigated a lot, and I am still irked at not knowing what happened so I can remedy. We have lost a lot of potential business and calls from this. We are local and it's the main local terms we've lost position for. I am focusing on doing the recommended stuff now and its been great. I pulled back on the on-page optimizing. I am reading, learning, participating, content  building, content marketing, local, social etc. but still occasionally still trying to figure out what happened so that hopefully, I can get us back for those critical keywords. Still looking for more info, please.
