Hi James, Thanks for the response. I am looking for the best practices. Actually, I was thinking of adopting strategy mentioned towards the end of the article, which includes 1 and 2 as well.

Recommendation for Social Sharing Plugin for WordPress
Hi Gautam, I have installed around 5-6 different social sharing plugins for Wordpress and I found the one that had the most features and reasonable load time to be Shareaholic. I haven't performed any benchmark tests in terms of speed with this plugin though. A while back I was performing some speed tests and discovered that just about every social media widget/code was adding a significant amount of kb's to a webpage, Facebook in particular if I recall correctly. This was either hand coded or using a plugin. Once I disabled all social media widgets/plugins then my page score was fine. Now, again, I haven't run any benchmark tests, but I am assuming that most of this code has already been cached in your visitors website browser by the time they get to your site, since they have already visited another site that has this same code, so the load time is not noticeable to them when they arrive at your site. Once you add any 3rd party code to your site you are prone to issues beyond your control, since you are no longer hosting the code. For example, say a plugin's server is having latency issues. This might make it appear like your website is still trying to load, even though everything appears fine, but if you check the status bar of your browser it will indicate one of your social media scripts is still loading. This can happen with any 3rd party code added, for example, live chat. Hope my explanation helps. Let me know if you have any questions. Regards, Kevin

Disabling auto-loading of Disqus Comments
Hi there. It's known that comment section is not awesome at all in the eyes of google, typically due to spamminess, so attention paid to such sections is way lower than to other content on the page. Also, as far as I remember, Disqus is being loaded through deferred JS, into an Iframe, meaning that it would not be even considered as part of your website. Also, plugins like that are usually loaded with deferred JS, which means your loading times shouldn't be affected. Therefore, it shouldn't really matter what you do to it to do impact (if any at all) on your SEO. Concentrate on your own content, my friend.

Category pages
Yeah, I think we need to mess around with the template files to make it look better. Btw, the website in question is AndroidBeat.com. I will look into the schema markups, though the structure of the site is quite flat, so not sure if breadcrumbs would be useful. When your website has to depend on advertising for revenues, page speed is difficult to optimize. I keep getting told that the page load cannot be improved further because of the ads on the website. So it is important to strike the right balance. If you know someone who can help with improving page load times then please let me know. I am happy to get a second opinion. Thanks again for the suggestions. Any thoughts on this point: How about internally linking to the same page with multiple anchor text. Wouldn't we end up confusing the bots. We have seen category pages doing well in some cases. So wouldn't this approach affect the ranking for such category pages that are doing well.
