Keywords in url - specific case question
It's indeed not something people would look for.. Very difficult problem you have there, at least it's good that you're making changes to it. Don't forget to set a 301 redirect to the new page on any page you delete and if there is no new page then to the most relevant or the home page. From what you told me i don't think it is an option to rebuild the entire site. The structure which is now there is way too difficult to change as much as it should in order for the best results. The swingset website doesn't have very big descriptions either. I think you can make some good improvements on that area at least. There is one webshop in particular which i always use as a reference for how much content you should have on a product and that is vat19.com. Not only is their marketing strategy perfect for their target audience. They offer so much information about their products. Images, text, specifications and video. I hope i helped you at all with your problems and if you have any other questions or need more advice or a brainstorm partner let me know either in this thread (if it's relevant) or in a new thread (the you could send me a private message to let me know where to find it :)) or you could of course send me a private message directly, but then other people couldn't benefit from the problems and solutions we found. Good luck with .. well everything

Other tags inside an H1 tag
I tend to use this quite a lot; It does not harm Search Engines, what is important is that only inline elements are contained within an H1 tag, that is span is a perfectly valid element, however a div is not. In your case you should use multiple spans with separate class names. You should also consider splitting it into H1 / H2 depending on your site structure and navigation as it might make more sense in some cases.

Niche Market without impartial authority for links
We cannot market our product outside of residential use. I asked about that once before and I can't remember the details, I just remember that it's not an option. So we're restricted to individual consumers. The other groups that I'm currently aware of would be groups interested in: then environment, child safety, redwood specifically, and child health. Not sure what else we could aim for. This has been gone over for the past three years now. One of our competitors has links on their state government site having something to do with recycling. I've attempted to find something similar on our own state site but haven't had any luck yet. But again, the root, I believe, of our problem is a lack of valuable text content on our pages. We're ranking #1 for a bunch of keyword phrases that are nice, but not widely searched. However, the pages that rank well are all pages that we have recently spent some time adding content to and are using those keywords well. I can't help thinking that if we would fix the content issues with the site that we would be more "linkable" and would take care of this concern in the long run. Unfortunately they're looking for an instant fix which just doesn't exist. Anyway, thanks for all the feedback and info!
