Why links coming from this page are never found? (opensiteexplorer)
Lots of excellent answers here deserving of many thumbs up, so I'll just throw in my 2 cents. OSE generally reports anywhere from 40-90% of the links found in Google Webmaster Tools. Because of the emphasis on quality over quantity, it doesn't list every link. That said, the SEOmoz Linkscape team is working hard at delivering an index that may be 3x the size of the current index - which means a ton of links. W00t! Check out this interview with Rand where he talks about this - http://pointblankseo.com/rand-fishkin Regardless, it does seem odd that a site with good link metrics would have none of its outbound links counted. One possibility is that even though Linkscape knows about the high authority page through other inbound links (and can therefor assign metrics such as MozRank and MozTrust to it) the URL itself has blocked Linkscape from crawling. In this case, you would see data for the high authority URL just like you described, but OSE would have no record of the outbound links on the page, because it wasn't allowed to crawl. This is only one possible explanation out of many. You could check the robots.txt or meta data of the URL and questions and see if anything is blocked. It's hard to tell from this end without knowing the exact URL. Regardless, I hope this sheds some light on the issue. Best of luck!

Crazy # of Inbound Links
Hi Alexander, I should have read your additional information first. My original answer is below. The correct way to deal with those pages is to make sure they redirect somewhere via a 301. (if you can't implement a 301, adding rel=canonical pointing to a relevant page would be your 2nd choice). Do this before you add nofollow links, or before blocking robots from crawling via robots.txt) This will not only solve your SEOmoz errors, but preserve link juice and improve your SEO health from a search engine point of view. How to implement the 301s depends on your site configuration, but best practice is to redirect each page individually to the appropriate landing page, instead of mass-redirecting everything to a single page (such as your homepage) -------------- (as promised, here is my original answer below)---------------------------- This is completely normal. You are most likely correct that many of these links are coming internally from inside your own site. Yes, Linkscape will count every page with a navigation link to your homepage as a link. (As a rule, OSE only counts one link target per page. So if on a page you have 1 navigation link pointing to your homepage, and another link in the text body also pointing to your homepage, OSE will only count the first link) There is nothing wrong with this... in fact in most cases it indicates a healthy internal link structure. So there's no need to "fix" it. On the other hand, if you simply want to filter your results in Open Site Explorer to exclude these links, to make your reports more manageable, there's a simple way to do this. From the 2nd drop-down menu, select to show links from "Only External" pages. This will filter out all of your self-referencing internal links. Hope this helps. Best of luck with your SEO.

Rotating Banner Ad Value?
Most likely it will not provide value, but to be sure, check the "source code" of the site and see how the code is being generated on other banners in the same position. Look for the actual URL of those sites in a static reference. But overall, my feeling is that banner ads won't really help. You mainly will want text ads with your "anchor text" pointing back to your specified URL from a quality, content-related site.

Http://www.xxxx.com does not re-direct to http://xxx.com
I'm pretty sure it doesnt redirect twice. I double checked it with httpFox. It simply redirects only once. If you want to see for yourself: (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/httpfox/) Good luck with your website!
