You should have control over your h1 tags. What is the copy of the h1 tag that the site is producing? Is the site a wordpress site? You would not want to have just one h1 tag with the same copy for every page. The H1 acts like a title. It is the most important tag when it comes to SEO

RE: Facebook Instant Articles - will it hurt SEO?
Instant articles are very similar to amp. They are not hosted by facebook. Facebook pulls a stripped down version of the article through rss. When a link is posted to facebook and a user on a mobile device reads the article they are delivered the IA version. So the article loads fast and Is unencumbered. So, because Facebook is only showing the same article from your website it is not duplicated. So it will not hurt SEO efforts.

RE: Changing posts that target same keyword to target SIMILAR keywords
Glinski,
You should not be insecure about changes to your content. Remember content is designed for the target audience and if one page is geared towards muscle size and the next is muscle gain then the content of those pages should be written to reflect those ideas. This does not mean you need to be exact with the keywords. The meaning of the content needs to reflect what you want to rank for. So if both pages have similar content google will show the best content that is related to the users search intent. So you have an opportunity to rank for two separate keywords by changing the content on one page to more closely match the users intent "Muscle Size" or Muscle Gain" These are 2 very different ideas and can be easily differentiated with good content.

RE: How to stagger <h>tags?</h>
H1 tags are usually reserved for the title of the page, or important stand out headings. It is possible for this heading to be halfway down the page but very unusual. The h tags do not necessarily need to be in order. They are used to organize headings by their importance. For instance you could have an h2 heading and have an h3 and an h4 heading in the same copy block and then start a new topic paragraph with another h2 heading and once again use the h3 and h4 headings within the next block of copy.
So no they do not need to go in order but their contents, relevance or organization is dictated by the heading used.

RE: Is my blog breaking my SEO and what should I do to fix it?
Hi Joe,
If you are loosing ranking fro the keywords you want to rank for, its time to revisit your content and see how you can make it better. SEO is not a do it and be done with it practice. Things change which may positively or negatively effect your rankings. Descriptions and titles may need to change for seo, content may need to be expanded upon or updated.
Look at the new competitors and see what they are doing. Does their content cater to the user better then yours? I checked your backlink profile, are your competitors picking up more links than you are?
Just some thoughts,
Don,

RE: What Are other people using in replacement for sliders?
A powerful call to action should be used. You have about 8 seconds to appeal to the visitor and get them to engage with the brand. What you is present above the fold is everything.

RE: Integrate social networks for SEO improvement
What framework does your website use? WordPress? Just install Yoast SEO if it does and you will be set. This will integrate the social apis. You will also be able to validate your site for pinterest and google search console among others.

RE: Integrate social networks for SEO improvement
You cannot test social media integration on your website with moz. What exactly are you trying to do? Add buttons?

RE: New Google My Business - No more Google+?
This is the google + page. https://plus.google.com/+google
You can still have a basic google + page. They did not change this. Google + Create is not the same as google + and is for creators. They will not accept everyone. In the application it even asks you to link your google + account
In your google my business admin you should be able to create google + posts or click the 9 squares in the top right corner and select google +. I believe all business accounts get a google + brand account. It is basically the same thing is a google + account.
I do not know why they directed you to the google + create application. Perhaps they did not understand your question.

RE: Another website copying our blog content but credit us. Still bad?
This is a great question that many clients have asked me on several occasions. I really do not like any of the choices you have listed. You still risk duplicate content with option 1 as the teaser will still be mostly word for word then a link. If your content is that good they should produce their own content based on the subject and link to yours. This way they are producing fresh content that gives authority to your content.

RE: Facbook ads
David,
Because you can only have one ad account on Facebook this is common practice. Giving access to the add account to the client could compromise the ad campaigns that they are running for other clients.
The client should be able to see the results of the ads from within their Facebook page under publishing tools. and under insights. However they will not be able to see the cost of each ad. The company should provide the invoices generated by facebook. These can be distributed by client if necessary.

I agree with Martin, the green logo works but not with the transition.

RE: Competitor Ranking in Positions 1 & 2
Is the search phrase brand specific? I have seen in numerous instances that brand specific phrases will produce more results for a particular brand. Some of these results will include facebook and other listings that are not directly tied into a url but mention the brand.

RE: How would you link build to this page?
I think a good start would be to reach out to interior decorations/decorators blogs and websites. Maybe home improvement bloggers. Look at your competitors... where are their backlinks coming from? Open Site Explorer can help. Just insert the competitors url.

RE: Is my domain holding me back in the SERPS?
Hi Gemma,
Will need more information. Time is not the only factor the ranks a website. I used open site explorer and see that there are no backlinks.
Backlinks should be a focus area if you want to rank your site.

RE: 2 Domains, 1 Brand - Content Marketing Strategy Question
Start a blog on a subdomain of the main domain. It is hard to do content marketing without a blogging infrastructure. You could easily install WordPress on a subdomain and brand it like the business.
If you a curating content for both locations the key is to not duplicate the content exactly. So if your are creating a post as to what ATV is best. Make sure the title and the content are different between each site. The concept can still be the same.
Split the testimonials by business location. They are technically 2 different stores anyway. As long as you are not copying word for word you should be fine!

RE: To 301 or not to 301?
Hello Ihasco,
If you redirect this page to another page that is not relevant in content then there may be no benefit to the redirect at all. You state that the page is similar to your homepage. This is where I would redirect the page if you wanted to maintain a portion of the page rank that the page currently demands.

RE: Domain Authority Keeps Dropping & FRED

Has domain authority rebounded? The last index I saw the domain authority rise for many of my clients. There were more backlinks introduced in the latest moz update.

RE: Changing domain and transferring SEO power to new.
Hi Green.h,
If you are keeping the old website, what you want to do is tricky. To pass link juice to the new domain you need to 301 redirect the URLS. This is how google knows that the website has changed domains and that it should rank the new urls in place of the old. If you do not do a 301 redirect and keep the old site live, you basically have 2 websites. One website with ranking and a new website that you will now need to begin an SEO campaign.
