Branden, I used to use Platinum SEO and occasionally had some quirky behavior like this with custom pages. Since the Blog page is basically an empty page importing recent posts, it might be playing poorly with PSEO. Have you tried turning that plugin off for a minute, doing a hard refresh and seeing what happens?

Without knowing your requirements, this may or may not be a decent recommendation. But assuming you're simply concerned with keeping your own site up, I recently started using JustHost. They're very inexpensive, and their 4 yr package is under $3/mo, with unlimited bandwidth, storage, emails and DBs. I've also found their techs to be responsive. Can't speak to their CS technical abilities, though, as I haven't had reason to check that out.

I changed to Wordpress SEO by Yoast. I had some issues with both Platinum SEO and Ultimate SEO, and have never had a problem with Joost's plugin.
