it is certainly possible depending on the content of the website. I have issues with an individual producing links from very disreputable sources. I wouldn't worry about it, Google seems rather savvy in not including garbage like that in your overall score. Just make certain you don't link back to the content obviously. There is always the option to submit a disavow txt file if you think it is impacting your rank, but I doubt you have to worry.
