Guest blog better than owned blog?
As long as the "other guy's" page gets lots of attention and drives as much or more value to your product page as your own blog could have, then nope - in my opinion it doesn't matter. The problem occurs when a not-so-authoritative blog outranks you with your own content but doesn't send ya much value. You're right to focus on the end goal which is improved rankings for the product page (and then improved conversions from those visitors!). Sounds like your site is really cookin'. Good luck! Sharp Drop in SERP Ranking for Specific Keyword
Why not use "leed certification" as you anchor text in your menu instead of "leed". This will give you a small boost. As you can see here http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?site=www.cleanedison.com%2Fleed you don't have any links (internal or external) pointing to this page with the exact or partial anchor text "leed certification". My guess is that you are not providing a good information to Google. One side note: did you know you have a plenty of spammy backlinks poiting to your home page with the anchor "leed certification"? Check this http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links?page=1&target=page&sort=page_authority&group=0&site=www.cleanedison.com&return_page=1&return_target=page&target=page&return_source=phrase&anchor_type=phrase&anchor_text=leed%20certification&anchor_id=14855739949

Keyword links are not showing up in majesticseo or open site explorer
Hi, So I spent time last week reducing the number of "LEED" mentions on the http://www.cleanedison.com/leed But I got my keyword reports again today and the page has fallen out of the top 50 for "LEED Certification" - I can't even find it in Google searches anymore Just two weeks ago both http://www.cleanedison.com/leed and http://www.cleanedison.com/courses/leed-green-associate were ranked 31 and 32 (not great, but still generating traffic) What is going on?!?! P.S. The link did show up in MajesticSEO, so that's good I guess
