Google indexing thousands crazy search results with %25253
As it turns out the problem is with Yoast's Google Analytics plug-in per Yoast. However, he has not yet released a fix nor given a date for the fix as of yet. So one either needs to deal with it until fixed or switch plug-ins.

Magic keywords in Google Webmaster Tools
Hi Joe, My guess (and purely a guess) would be that perhaps it is coming from text that is commented out in your Wordpress template. You could check the code and see if you find it there. I ran the SEOmoz Term Extractor tool for a couple of individual pages and it doesn't appear in the list of targeted keywords. If you can identify exactly where it is coming from (or establish that it is definitely not included repetitively in your code) you could try asking at http://www.google.com/support/webmasters whether this is a known issue or something to be concerned about. Hope that helps, Sha

Should /dev folder be blocked?
Hey Ryan, It isn't really a competition thing because I bounce back to the same or better sport after about 30 days, so it seems very algorithmic. I just haven't been able to figure what/how I am getting penalized. However, this morning while looking at some rankings I noticed a dev page was indexed and in Google's rankings so I said "Ah oh...." and went to see my developer hadn't blocked out our development directory... which means if Google deep indexes a site every so often they would probably crawl it and find an exact copy of the live site... The 60-90 deep indexing would also make sense as the ranking drop has always occurred around the 27th of the month. Once I block out /dev what do you think would be the best way to get Google to re-crawl the site and perhaps remove any duplicate issues - delete out my robots.txt and sitemaps from Google and re-submit them?

Is OSE data reliable and removal of malicious inbound links?
If you have specific links which appear in OSE but not in Google, you can open a ticket with the SEOmoz help desk requesting more information. They can look at the OSE data and help determine if there is an issue with the Linkscape tool, or whether the data appears valid. Keep in mind the link could have been there a month ago when the crawl was performed and the page has changed since then. As far as removing the links, the only course of action you have is to contact the webmasters involved with the links. If they choose to remove the links, they can help. If they choose not to honor your request, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. Anyone with a website can make a link with the anchor text "this site sucks" and there is nothing you can do about it.
