Hi Bonnie, Linda and Justin are absolutely right. You can follow their instructions to uninstall the toolbar permanently. If, however, you'd like to be able to temporarily disable it, you can toggle it on and off using a keyboard shortcut: Cmd + Option + Control + M on OSX, Shift + Ctrl + Alt + M on Windows. You can also toggle it on and off by clicking on it's bookmark icon.
