I have a client where we put the specific local listing page url (example.com/locations/phoenix/location1) in the Google Places URL field. It works out really well as we get the home page ranking organically (depending on the query) and the specific places result locally. Sometimes they are combined and other times they are not, but we are in the mix somewhere almost always.

Hi Mike Thanks for all your feedback and yeh i agree with your sales comment. i have set a timeframe of 6 months before i start dissecting the analytics and working out my ROI as I was told its a minimum of three months before you start seeing real traction with SEO. Thanks Gary, thanks for that i will have a look into the serps and perhaps try to match them up to a similiar style to that of http://broomeaccommodation.com.au  as currently this site has the highest ranking our of all sites in our group, which i think can be attributed to this particular keyword ranking. i just purchased Broomewa.com which is ranked 3rd for the Kewyword 'Broome' so hopefully if i link that to the site it might help with the ranking. I could ask you guys a million differen questions right now but i wont keep you. Really appreciate the help and feedback cheers Bodie
