Penguin Apply To Internal Linking?
Is Penguin focused primarily on backlinks or does it also assess internal linking/anchor text? In my opinion it is focused on backlinks. If internal anchor text links would kill a site then wikipedia and any informative site that was built on their hyperlinking model would be dead. I got a lot of internal anchor text on my sites and nothing has happened. If google wanted to dull the impact of internal anchor text they could do it much more easily by just turning a knob and would not need to put it in the Penguin algo and beat webmasters who have done good for their users by hyperlinking their content. Google is after manipulation rather than trying to do a "gotcha" on innocent webmasters. My backlink profile also has an over-abundance of affiliate links but that's kind of out of my hands isn't it? You can require any anchor text or linking method that you want. If they don't like it they can quit or you can turn off their bounty. You can require nofollow if you want. My affiliate program tells me what I can't and can do. They have not been telling me how to link but they have their hoops that I better jump through if I want to be paid. You are in the driver's seat. You just have to decide if you are going to steer or let other people do it for you.

Footer NAP Hurt Local Optimization?
Thanks Miriam. Another thread suggested (and a couple reputable users said it works) to optimize the site for major city A and create a sub-directory for 2, 5 or 10 other city pages. I get the approach but what do you do with the footer NAP? I asked for clarity in the other thread but got no takers. So I'll ask here. For this type of optimization to work, would you have to strip the NAP from the footer for big city A site optimization AND the sub-directory individual city optimization? Or can you leave the NAP on all the pages (sub-directory pages included) and just have strong page optimization above the footer throughout? I'm not knowledgeable in root/sub-directory setups so I may not be asking sensible questions.

Part of Page with Highest Viewership
another method that can hint at this stuff is using the visual view (IN PAGE ANALYTICS) of google analytics (granted link percentages will be calculated from all links to that destination from the page you are trying to analyze, but if you have only 1 link per destination, this will be rather accurate.)

Keyword Spy Source?
Unfortunately I don't think there's much value to be gained. These services are pretty tight about protecting user privacy. And, this is a totally horrible observation to make, I've found that the majority of people "spying" on me really don't know what they are doing. There are exceptions of course, but I find it's better to look ahead than over my shoulder

OMG. RAND IS ATTACKED! (in a blog post)
I did! Thank you! I wasn't intending to lump you in which is why I kept saying things like "he" and "his post." Sorry for the confusion there. I felt like branding and content had a lot to do with the conversation. I see we agree on this point and I thought we did from the get-go. I don't think the blogger in this case was trying to talk about the micro niche sites that you reference. At least that wasn't the vibe I gathered. He talked about branding and content building and those two things don't seem to match. I agree that what you say blackhat works for is a great example of where it "belongs" or "works" in the short-term. Anyway thanks.

Sticker Shock!!
Something else I would suggest. Usertesting.com You setup scenarios for users to walk through your site and can specify age, sex, location and income of the users. You get back video with commentary on your site. You can do 3 users for less than $200 and you get some really useful information that will really help bolster whatever input you get from the conversion companies. Think of it as a way to put together a quick focus group and you often get results back in less than 1 hour so it is fast, too.

Conversion Rate Services?
I've used Site Tuners as well. They have an affordable quick review where they go over your page and call you with their recommendations. Very effective. I always saw conversions increase after following their advice.

Google and Product Description Tabs
Just to add on to Mike's response, it depends on how the description tabs are created. If each tab is created on a different page, then naturally Google will treat it as separate pages. However, if all the tabs are created on the same page, but CSS/AJAX is used to display each tab separately, then Google will still consider all the tabs to come from the same page. Besides Googling, you can also check the page source code. If the content in all the tabs appear in the source code, they will all be crawled as a single page.

GetListed.Org Personal Profile?
In the first and last name fields I thought of entering the first half of the company name in one field and the second half of the company name in the last. But then it wanted a photo so I left. Maybe I should've snapped a quick pic of the employee of the month and put it there.

Include Product Price in Rich Snippet?
Yes, it displays pricing information in your listings as seen here. If you are asking if it's worth doing it, ROI wise, then yes. It makes your listing stand out more. There is the argument that competitors might have a lower price listed in the meta data, but organic listings aren't really used for price comparison. That's what apps / Google Shopping is for. You'd be surprised at how few online stores are even showing this meta data, anyway. In addition, Google isn't the only service using the meta data. You will also get included in shopping apps that crawl this data. As far as hard numbers, I don't have that or know of blogs that have published similar data. Including meta information overall has increased CTR in my experience, though.

Help With Analytics Data
I think it may be important to state that the only real "ding" is within your Analytics. Google does not use Analytics data in its search algorithm. So if you are monitoring bounce rate for that purpose, worry not.* More than likely we're looking at a tracking anomaly of some kind, that, at its very worst, is throwing off your Analytics data. I might add that the "bounce rate" that DOES influence the search algorithm isn't really bounce rate, but dwell time. See what Duane Forrester wrote about here: http://www.bing.com/community/Site_Blogs/b/webmaster/archive/2011/08/02/how-to-build-quality-content.aspx This metric is calculated internally by the search engines, and does not cull from Analytics data. Additionally, it is one of thousands of signals that influence ranking, and likely a relatively small one overall.

Correlation Between Domain Authority and Crawl Penetration?
Since SEOmoz doesn't provide all of their metrics they use to calculate, it's hard to say just how much the correlation is. But I would have to say that the correlation would be there since good crawl penetration and juice distribution leads to better indexing and a better user experience. SEOmoz Domain Authority Domain Authority represents SEOmoz's best prediction about how a website will perform in search engine rankings. Use Domain Authority when comparing one site to another or tracking the “strength” of your website over time. We calculate this metric by combining all of our other link metrics (linking root domains, number of total links, mozRank, mozTrust, etc.) into a one single score. To determine Domain Authority, we employ machine learning against Google's algorithm to best model how search engine results are generated. Over 150 signals are included in this calculation. We constantly refine this model over time. This means your website's Domain Authority score will often fluxuate. For this reason, it's best to use Domain Authority as a competitive metric against other sites as opposed to a historic measure of your internal SEO efforts. http://www.seomoz.org/learn-seo/domain-authority
