alhalinan Seems lot of collegues have issues with it indeed. Regarding the keyword planner tool it takes more steps to have the overview the old tool supplied. Change in data is that the app changed form broad to exact results. I believe a lot of testing is the way to go and to verify this with your old data. Furthermore I came a tool called Seocockpit, may be that helps. Reviews are fine anyway. Hope this helps ..

It doesn't matter at all when you upload a video to YouTube. Unlike social platforms such as reddit, hacker news etc - there isn't some sort of algorithmic drop off if a YouTube video doesn't get immediate traction. Videos can sit dormat for weeks before then going viral when an influencer picks them up. The uploading time isn't important, but your wider promotional strategy will be and time may be a factor in that e.g. when do you send out a press release? When should you tweet about it?

I use Marin for my keyword research.  It combines keyword suggestions and search query reports from both AdWords and AdCenter into 1 tool.

It was Google organic traffic as a whole that spiked. 4 or 5 keywords brought in the extra traffic, and these are keywords I usually rank in position 8 or 9 for.

In short, it changes everything - a complete game changer. Shows google means business. That' fair enough, but the fcat is that there a huge number of clearly paid for links and clearly recip links that google still seems to classify as natural. They should make it clear - if say 20% of your links are clearly unnatural, or more, then you get a warning, if it then goes up to 40% a small penalty and so on. Google instead plays the game, and plays with people's sites and their livelihoods. Seo just became a lot harder and more expensive and uncertain. This may well mean people instead favour ppc. Funny that, because who benefits from ppc - you got it, google !

I would say my success story is hitting page 1 google.co.uk for a big keyword in my industry in less than 4 weeks for a 60% difficulty keyword with a website less than 2 months old

Eppie, do you still support these methods? These are very risky grey methods that I'm very surprised you're still recommending in 2012. Would love to hear your updated input. You're very smart and I love the Link Detective tool you created which is why I'm surprised to see this.

YouTube appears to value the same off-page factors that matter on most pages. Having your keywords in the title of the video, leading with the most important keyword in the description and making use of the tags all make a difference, but since these appear on the page, as well as ioff-page there may be some confusion.

Adding more... The buttons from some shopping carts will work in .pdf documents.  So if you write one with a parts list, you can place a buy button beside each part to make it really easy for the person to purchase. Also, type your domain name in the pdf.  That way, if people print it and want to go back to your website you might get a navigation query.   Typing the URL where it can be found might do the same thing.

Honestly, I think a lot of people probably read, but just don't take the time to hit the thumbs up button because they don't know what the point is, or don't care.
