How do you fix on page SEO ?
Mmmm.... first of all nice way to put anchor text optimized links while saying you are not able to make ranking your site in the first page of the SERPs for the same keywords... I remind you that links here are nofollowed. Said that, apart from the on site factor Webfeatseo has wrote about, I would also suggest you to radically change the way you are using the blog: Why a post like this > Blogging: it's all about influencing the influencers, is in the blog of site like yours? It doesn't fit at all thematically; More over, that post is a not original one. You correctly reference the source, but to add a post bazillions others have is not useful, as your "version" will probably be flitered by the SERPs. No... use the blog to really tell the daily stories, surely amazing, of the school and the children assisted by it. Use video, use photos, use their own drawnings... make the blog unique and use it as the central core of your inbound marketing activity, for instance sharing those stories via social media with your followers and those people may be interested in humanitarian cases. This could probably make your site stand respect all the other similar sites. This, with the on site optimization which is needed (i.e.: review the title tag of the home page > School meal program in India for underprivileged children - Akshaya Patra India) and focussing on the real influencers targets, will surely help you scaling the rankings. )

How do you differentiate the Keywords for marketing??
The best way I know of to truly research your market and figure out which keywords will convert well is to use Google AdWords. Aaron Wall wrote a great post a while back about this topic: Market Research Using Google AdWords Aside from that, you can also look at whatever traffic you are currently getting in your analytics. Although this will obviously not be a complete picture of all of the opportunities available to you, you can certainly mine the data for some sort of actionable information. Oftentimes, the short-tail keywords are not the ones that will work best for promoting your website. There is frequently a tradeoff between traffic and conversion rate. Short-tail keywords get tons of traffic, but they don't always convert well. Conversely, long-tail keywords might not get much traffic, but if you choose specific targets, they can convert exceptionally well. Obviously your strategy is going to involve targeting a mix of both.

How to use SEOMoz tool?
I have found the resources under learn SEO to be very helpful. Webinars, Videos and the Beginners Guide. For me, I find downloading reports, then making comparisons over time also keeps me on track. I am by no means an expert, but by spending a little time with the tools and the content they provide I have gained solid traction in handling some of the content provided.
