What is the best way to take advantage of this keyword?
On another side note, the authors often upload PDF's from other sources like government bodies etc. I've told them to set them to nofollow for the PDF's which they're now doing. Is there a quick way to do nofollow on all the PDF's uploaded to the site or will I need to do it manually? They also sometimes repost (copy and paste) articles from their partners. Is there an easy (and free) way to scan the whole site and see which pages are duplicates from another site need canonical URL's? What is the best way to fix the canonical domain issue? Were you refering to the blog (news.nur...) or main site?

How to setup custom rss emails for blog
Adding on to what Ryan said, you can setup RSS to Email functionality for multiple lists (I think - haven't needed to do this exact setup). When you do, name the lists similar to the categories. As a sidenote, there's a way to do this with segments all contained within one list, but I don't have details on that. See the resources below. For the RSS feed, you'll use the category URL and add "/feed/" to it to get the category-specific RSS. For example - http://news.nursesfornurses.com.au/Nursing-news/category/lifestyle/feed/ will be the RSS URL for the Lifestyle category. You'll have to do a slightly custom onboarding setup to allow users to adjust their categories when they first signup, or you can simply let them opt out of specific lists when they hit the unsubscribe button. Mailchimp also has a feature called conditional dynamic content that allows you to send a master newsletter, and only add specific content if the user has selected it: http://blog.mailchimp.com/conditional-dynamic-content-in-mailchimp/ Here's some other articles in their support docs that describe different ways of handling this: http://mailchimp.com/resources/guides/mailchimp-for-bloggers/html/ http://blog.mailchimp.com/rss-to-email-tutorial/ Lists Options: http://kb.mailchimp.com/lists Segments Option: http://kb.mailchimp.com/lists/groups-and-segments/about-segments-and-groups

Developing an effective content marketing strategy
I'm confused when you talk about a content strategy and your spreadsheet looks like it's addressing only a subset of what I would expect in a strategy - that what, when and where. So maybe I'm just caught up in semantics, but I'm really wondering about your objectives, who your audience is, where they like to hang out, the information they want and need, and how you'll measure progress and/or know when adjustment is needed. I think those questions need to be asked and answered before you get to your spreadsheet. The content marketing institute has a very useful guide for developing a content marketing strategy that I look at from time-to-time. This mozinar provides some excellent tools and examples. I also like this 2012 Moz post by Stephanie Chang because of it's practical and manageable for most small business owners. I have no idea if you're a big or small business. Just say'in I find it easier to learn by starting small. I agree with Michael Edwards, that you maybe don't need to post the same thing to all platforms. The one restriction we all face is time and ties back to my other questions. Do you really need to be in all those places? I'd start narrower and have a plan to spread after have met with some success. The plan would include how to reuse existing content. For example, bundling post charts and images into slideshare presentations or webinars.

SEO advice with having a blog on sub domain.
So If i move the content of the current blog: http://www.nursesfornurses.com.au/blog To my subdomain: http://news.nursesfornurses.com.au/Nursing-news/ Should I be expecting to see a decrease in rankings, even if I do 301 redirects from all the blog posts to the new ones..? I'm just trying to get this as black and white as possible for my directors.

Canonical URL on search result pages
Thanks David, Thanks for your response, very helpful I agree, there is a lot of room for improvement. Its written on an old .aspx CMS platform and i'm having a real nightmare trying to get used to it.. It ain't no Wordpress - that much is clear! Page titles + descriptions were the first things I was going to get started on, I've just been defining the core keywords before I get going! Cheers

How to track conversions from a third party email campaign?
No problem, glad I could help! There are a few ways to view that info in GA, here is one method: Go to your Acquisition > Campaigns > All Campaigns report Then, make sure the correct 'conversions' goal is selected (should be a dropdown in the Conversions section) Now, input the campaign name you created for the tracking URL into the filter input field. That field is right above the Conversions section of the report and has a small magnifying glass next to the input field (to the left of the 'advanced' link). That will allow you to only view the traffic coming from that campaign and its metrics. You can also simply click the campaign name if you see it among the list of campaigns.
