      Hi

Due to us having a very large site and not enough time to implement changes for the google update on the 21st April I wanted to know if anyone has any understanding of http://restivejs.com/

Is this a way of being ready for the update? And if so what are the limitations/disadvantages?

      thanks

      E

I'm leery of anything that bills itself as a "one size fits all" approach for responsive. Real responsive takes work because you have to design for the 3-ish viewports out there (mobile, tablet and desktop). To say "Just add this and you're responsive!" means you either have a VERY simple site, or you don't care how bad it looks on mobile.

I guarantee if you try to do it the easy way that some future Google update will ding you. Google is now HIGHLY focused on mobile and how well you do it. Take the time to do it right and you won't regret it.

I agree with Highland that this type of solution probably won't be your best choice.

How much of your traffic is actually mobile? Rand Fishkin shared this post on Google+, saying that Moz wasn't worried about making the deadline since they have very little mobile traffic.

Also, in this discussion here in Moz, Peter Meyers posted that this update is page-based, so if you have a smaller number of pages that are very mobile-crucial, perhaps you could fix those first, and then work on the larger fix for your website.
