Does using cufon for H-tags etc hurt SEO?

Does the use of cufon for H-tags et al affect SEO/how Google views your website?
-
The text replacement for using cufon is done by Javascript. The bots don't run scripts on a page so they will see the original text and not the Cufon modified version. So, Cufon should not affect SEO.
The text is still the text, no matter what it looks like to the end user. Great question tho!
If you would like to see an example where someone tested this, please check out this article:

THANK YOU!
Much apprecaited, I'll have a look through the article :0)

Javascript loading sometimes slows down the loading of the page, which could affect search. I would suggest measuring page speed without it, adding it and re-measuring.
Best Of Luck... Mike

Hi guys,
Just went through the same process as Alligator. Found this old webmaster video in which Matt Cutts states it's ok, but still recommends to use newer tactics.
