      I am hugely disappointed SEOmoz  does not notify it's new users who sign up for the free trial they will autorenew without notifying us!

      Another business you seems to think these underhanded tactics to make a little extra money from people who still like to takes things more on trust is acceptable!!

      Is this good practice? Is a simple email to the user too much trouble??

        I agree, I'm also not very happy with this auto renewal... This could be handled much smoother IMO.

          Hi SylO,

          I'm so sorry for your experience with our free trial. On our home page, the "Start Your Free Trial" button states "Free for 30 days then $99/month". If you found a different way to sign up without this notice, please do let us know. Also, we send a reminder before your first month is up that you will be charged. Perhaps this came to your spam folder instead? If you would no longer like to be a PRO member, please contact our help team at help@seomoz.org and we'll get things fixed right up.

              When I signed up for an SEOmoz account I received several notices during the first month that explained the charges.  Here is an excerpt from one such email:

              "Also, we wanted to let you know that you have one week left in your free trial, and when it expires, you will be charged $99/month. We hope you've enjoyed your membership, but if you wish to cancel, you can do so on your account settings page."

              I'm guessing your notices are in a spam filter.
