That's cool your starting young! I started doing SEO when I was 12 as well but that was long before Google. I have been in sales for a while now as well so ill give you a few tips.

        1. Appearance - You can never be too over dressed. I like to wear a suit and tie not because I have to but because that's what CEOs and business leaders wear. If you want them to respect you, you need to convey an appearance of a professional and look like someone they can relate to regardless of age. Other than clothing have trimmed hair, white teeth, smell good!

        2. Confidence - Savvy business owners that have been around the block will sense desperation. Even if you need the sale to eat tomorrow you have to convey the attitude that your product rocks and if they don't buy someone else will. You want it to seem like your doing them a favor by being there. However don't be rude or cocky just confident!

        3. Opening - Deliver a Benefit statement in the beginning. "I'm ABC from XYZ company we specialized in helping businesses like yours do XX . This year alone we've help over 15 business achieve their goals." Or whatever.....
This will grab their attention and let them know you mean business!

        4. Plan - Having a plan for the meeting can go along way. Before you meet with any client you should write your desired out come. Then in reverse order engineer how you will get from Point A (the Open) to Point B (desired Outcome). You will usually do this by gaining agreement along the way. Just link leaving bread crumbs to find your way home. You want to get agreements on your way to the close. You know a head of time where the conversation is going and why before you ever enter the meeting.

        5. Focus - Your focus and intention are often times what shines through the most. If your intention is and you focus on Helping the client they will sense this and trust you.Once you have their trust age wont matter.

        Hope that helps!

Yes planning and focus are key!

I start every day with a list of things that need to get done arranged most to least. That way I'm sure to accomplish everything. As for around the office I can give you a few more tips. Go out of your way to do something extra and help others without being asked. Do more than what your paid for. Nobody likes a show off but everyone loves the guy that helps them without being asked and makes them look good at their job. Also this is usually the type of person that gets promoted and survives reduction. Just as in social and link building the easiest way to get something is to give it first. Show respect and you'll get it!
