Redirects 301
-
Hello guys,
I have a doubt. If I reedirect a url with a pagerank of 2 to a new URL, will I loose the PR?
My problem is that I have a long url in one page wich is not effective to target a keyword that Im persuing. Im climbing in Google, however I want to 1º place and I dont think that with this long URL I will make it.
Advices?
Cheers!

So two questions
1. A 301 transfers MOST of your page rank. It can, sometimes, not transfer it all.
2. Will a long keyword URL hurt you? In terms of SEO, not really. In terms of site usability, maybe. I mean, if you have www.thebestwidgetkeywordsiteeverwootkeywords.com, it might not be that bad of an idea to change. You'll take a short term hit in SEO, but people are more likely to remember your site URL as well.

Hi :),
First of all, tks for the response.
About your second awser my problem is this. I have a URL (http://digitaldiscovery.com.pt/servicos-de-marketing-digital/publicidade-online/) that is too long as you can see.
The keyword I want to target is publicidade-online that is in the finalle of that URL. However with some test that I already did, I reached to the conclusion that to target the define keyword I have to shorter the URL to http://digitaldiscovery.com.pt/publicidade-online/.
Whats do you think? Is this a good ideia to climb in Google with that keyword?
Tks in advance!
