I wonder If links embedded in JavaScript from an external Website pass link juice to the linked page and thus have a positive effect on google rankings. I read that JavaScipt is craweld. Does it mean that also the link juice is passed? I'm looking forward to your answers.

        Hi Tabea,

Google is certainly attempting to crawl JS links, and it's plausible that they'll pass PageRank through those links. However, I'm reluctant to say that these are close to passing authority in the same way as regular <a href="">links - there is a possibility that as of right now, these links are being crawled for discovery purposes. What's definitely true, of course, is that JS shouldn't be used to "hide" links anymore, since it's highly possible that they'll get crawled.</a>

        <a href="">Cheers,

        Jane</a>

While i have no evidence that they are passing link juice, it stands to reason that they are. I believe that that it the reason they are following them so that you can not get around passing link juice. In the passt people used js links to avoid passing link juice.
