Please Explain "Rel Canonical"
-
I have a travel blog that ranks well for lots of keywords. In my "Notices" section of this site, I found that every page has a rel canonical issue sort of flagged. What does this mean? How can it be fixed? It doesn't seem to bother my traffic, but it'd be nice to have it tidied up. Thanks! The site is www.journeybeyondtravel.com/news

It is just letting you know ther ios a canonical, not that there is a problem, It is good to know that page has a canonical, as if in the wrong page could cause big problems. Dr Pete once canonicaled his whole site to teh home page, if he had looked at his notices he may have clicked on sooner.

Yeah, it took me forever to finally figure this out. I use a Thesis Theme, so it does canonical automatically. I wasn't sure if this was a good thing. Maybe SEOMOZ could call these notices something different? Maybe, "Thought You Might Like to Know" or something? Thanks for your help!

Yes, i have answeed the same question many times, so it must be confusing plenty.
By the way Bing does not like canonidals pointing to the same page.
