Should the link building be done with forward slash after my .com?

It is up to you to decide how you wish your site to appear to users. This question is similar to whether to use the www sub-domain for your site or not. Make a decision and stick with it.
The majority of sites do not use a slash for their home page. If you try to enter a slash, most sites will redirect to their home page without the trailing slash.
My suggestion is to not use a trailing slash on the home page. For the rest of the site, web pages should not have a trailing slash, but web folders should have a trailing slash. Examples:
-
I agree, bing annd Google would be quite a aware of this, it should not be a problem
-
No, I did not use trailing slash in my home page domain.
It is not about what I use**.Google anyway indexes the domain name with the forward slash /**
Search your domain name or Seomoz in Google and see. They always index with /.
Thanks

I completely understand how it appears. I still stand by the original reply. Perhaps I offered too much information. The shorter response:
Should the link building be done with forward slash after my .com?
I recommend matching the format used on your site.

Thanks. Got your point. You suggest it should be same as the format used in your site not what Google indexed.
Hopefully, Google is taking care of silly canonicalization !!
