Tool/Process For Tracking Aquired Links?

I am about to start a link building campaign targeting some 1500 high value prospects. I am wondering how best to track which links I successfully aquire.

I can see how I might do this: Take regular snap shots of external links with OSE and compare the results to a spreadsheet of domains I have requested links from. If I must I will write a script to do this but, really, there must be an easier way.

This must be your bread and butter. I am suprised there is no such tool available here - or am I missing it? Can you please recommend a tool/process for tracking aquired links.
