Missed intent in infocontent - how to rewrite

A few of my articles face same pattern from search engine. Firstly it raises to top and gathers bunch of traffic but then falls back.
Obviously there is a problem with behavioral factors, and particularly I guess we do not answer specific intent of the users. But since there is a lot of keyword phrases it is not so obvious how to get article tuned to them.
Does someone have an experience of such a tuning? May be some tools or advices?
