What units are the Monthly Volume numbers in?

When a monthly volume is displayed, (e.g. 501-850 - see attachment), what are the units for those numbers? Is it thousands? Millions?

Those units specifically (501-850) are in the hundreds. Higher volumes are represented by 'k' for thousands - e.g. 6.5k - 9.3k, and millions are represented by 'm', e.g. 300k-1.5m.
