How does Alexa Compare?

When it comes to SEO tools there are lots to choose from or course Moz and semrush, ahrefs, Majestic and many more but I never really see people mention Alexa?

Recently a large company I visited as a potential client said they use Alexa for all their SEO needs, I have obviously been living under a rock as I a while ago discarded Alexa as a tool as from what I believed even their results were dodgy as you had to have the toolbar installed and not been anywhere neat their website for a very longtime.

I just had a quick look and noticed all sorts of extra tools like a Keyword Difficulty Tool, Competitor Keyword Matrix, On-Page SEO Checker, Competitor Backlink Checker, SEO Audit Tool.

I'm interested if any uses Alexa and what they think of it and have I really been living under a a rock not noticing their evolution of products?
