Facebook Ads - Any Tips?

Hi

I am just trying some Facebook ads with a client for the first time, in the dentist vertical.  Does anyone have any tips, recommendations, dos or don't for Facebook advertising?  Anything you can tell me from direct experience?

I'm just starting with a pretty general ad, targeting several surrounding towns, and have not drilled down to ages, interests, etc very much.  Just getting some traffic in there to see how it performs.

Hi,

Facebook ads is an interesting area, yet from my experience it is really the image that goes with the advert that counts

We were testing ads which had an image of a girl who looked sad and it was a poor quality image the CTR was low we then changed it to a image of a girl who was happy and high quality. Instantly we saw an uplift in CTR.

For the dentist vertical you really need to know the demo from the client. See what type of data they can provide and the GEO area they service.

• Does anyone have experience either way with where the click takes them?  FB page vs. Website?  And if so, what helped conversions once they got there?
