HTML Sitemap generator

I have a client with a huge website and wondered if there was tool to generate an HTML sitemap which we'd like to reference for the development of a new site. We've tried a few but they've been pretty poor so wondered if anyone was aware of an effective one.

Obviously happy to do it manually but it's such a big site it's going to take a while!

Hi Sam,

With it being such a big site, there are a few of thoughts here.

1. You wouldn't want to build an HTML sitemap with every page - it would be huge. You would only want to carry main category / important pages
2. Another thought, if you want something more, is to build HTML sitemaps for different category sections of the site
3. What is the main aim for this?

As Andy mentioned, depending on the size of the site you may want to consider only adding certain pages to the sitemap. With that being said I would suggest using Screaming Frog to develop your sitemap. This is my favorite tool for creating a sitemap, it's quick, easy, and thorough.

Essentially the site has been inherited and we need to break it down nice and clearly so that the new developers have a clear plan to work from. We just want to ensure that we're not missing anything really.
