Generating a xml sitemap?

What is everyone's preferred method of generating an XML sitemap? Just wondering if one piece of software is better than others?

Really depends if you want to do it yourself and upload or you have a CMS which automatically generates it. But if i was to recommend some tools the following will handle what you are looking for.

3. If you want a good piece of software for identifying site errors and creating sitemaps Screaming Frog or xenu link sleuth

If you're on WordPress, I highly recommend WordPress SEO by Yoast. The plugin automates XML sitemaps so you don't have to worry about it.
