If on the page (blog post) there is a lot of images and they all have the same alt attribute - is it keyword stuffing?

        Hi

Your alt tag should aim to describe what the image is, be careful of using them purely for SEO purposes. Keyword stuffing should always be avoided if possible. Just keep them short and natural to what the image is, this will help you avoid any penalties from Google.

The alt attribute helps Google and other search engines understand what the image is about. Here is a nice article from Google about image publishing guidelines

I doubt you would see a penalty from something like this, as there are plenty of websites out there with poorly optimized images, but at the same time you are not doing your on-page SEO score any favors. Is it a make or break item? No, but at the same time I'm sure you could correct the entire page in a manner of a few minutes 😉

            Agreed!

It is always best practices to avoid keyword stuffing. Be sure to set each image alt attribute to describe the image itself. This will allow both search engines and visually impaired users of your website to be able to understand the description of the image. Might sound silly but my mother is visually impaired and may be looking for your site right now. 😃

            Best of luck!!

Patrick Sexton is a pretty well known "tool" dude in the SEO world - I think if I remember correctly, he was David Mihm's original partner for the getlisted puppy...

That said, give this URL a try to one of his great online tools to audit EVERY image on a webpage and show you what needs attention when it comes to SEO for images...

              Link is here...
